video player
In this second part of this three part demonstration, Matthew Tardiff continues his the Maya to UDK pipeline overview. He shows the techniques needed to create a character package within UDK using the assets from the first part of the tutorial, including importing all the assets and animations and setting up the animations within UDKs AnimSet editor.

@Anon, There is no download. All the free videos are streaming only.

The steps are pretty simple too, once you get the hang of it. Take detailed notes and recreate the workflow. That's part of why the videos are short and sweet; to deliver the most immediately relevant information for the topic. The animation pipeline from 3d package to UDK seems to trip people up and part of that comes from over complicating the process with too much information.

Just wondering if you unchecked anim rotation only in the animset editor. I think some tutorials recommend it. I believe the animsets that udk comes with have it checked. Thanks for the tutorial.
