Very poor download speed
I just purchased the pillar video, started downloading and it's topped out at 30-35kbps. That means each part is going to take 5 hours to download - very poor. I've a 24mbps internet connection so I'm pretty sure it's not my end.
Not wanting to come off like moaning so and so, but for $50 and then have to wait 5/6 hours is a bit much don't you think?
Im not sure if you read my email yet, but just in case, here is the location for the new downloads section.

The mirrors are set up and it should be a perfect solution for you. Please let us know!

Yep. Thanks for that, appreciated.
this may be bringing an old thread back from the dead..
I'm getting 50k a second.. on a 8mbps ADSL connection
that mirrors link doesn't look like it's there anymore
edit: it's the ZBrush 3.5 - A Comprehensive Introduction
Where are you located? Since we switched servers most downloads have been blazing fast! 50k/s is horrible.
Actually, make a support ticket and we may can set you up with a temporary FTP. Hopefully that will be faster.
cheers for the quick response, luckily the filesize wasn't enormous so I just left it and it downloaded eventually
just thought I'd give you a heads up that it's quite slow from the UK
Thats strange because metalliandy lives in London and get crazy good speed from eat3d. Andy could you do a test and let us know your results? There are so many variables with these things, it could be anything. But we pay a lot of money for one of the fastest servers and it would be hard to improve on it.
Here you go Riki.

My speeds are always fantastic from the Eat3d server and 99% of the time it maxes out my connection (16MB)
Im not sure what the problem could be tbh :S
odd, maybe it's just the internet infrastructure of where I am.. I'm downloading it at work atm as a test ( JANET internet connection that colleges of north wales use ) and it's still going to take 30 mins
doesn't matter really, I have the file at home and it was definitely worth the purchase

Its totally understandable that those speeds are not acceptable. I have created a mirror that should fix the problem. I assure you and others that this is not common, but it does happen. To prevent this from happening we are going to roll out mirrors for each file. I sent you an email with the new information.
Thanks for your patience!
