Its been asked so Ill post here where to find the plugins that were used in the video.

Ephere Scene Manager:
3ds Max 9 and 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit)
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=172063

3ds Max 2009 (32-bit and 64-bit)
http://www.maxplugins.de/r2009_files/marsel/sm_012_max2009.zip

3ds Max 2010 (32-bit and 64-bit)
http://www.maxplugins.de/r2010_files/marsel/SceneManager_v1.0_Max2010.zip

Mootools PolyCruncher:

Is it possible that somehow the Ephere Dialog has been moved out of the screen, where you can't see it?

Hi all.

I am using the Ephere Scenemanager, for 3dsmax 2009 32-bit, on Vista.
the plugins work's fine, but when i am doing anything in 3dsmax, the ephere scenemanager jumps behind the 3dsmax window, and i have to click the corresponding taskbar button to get it out again when i need it, and that kills it abit for me Sticking out tongue i know it should not happen, but i cant find a way to fix it.

Anyone have had similar problems?

thanks.

Edit: actually i "solved" the problem by using the program: "Deskpins" which forces the window on top, though it should be possible to it some other way, but works for me for now Smiling

Sorry for the delayed reply!
Yeah, you can delete the .ini that stores your setting here:

C:\Users\Riki\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsmax\2009 - 64bit\enu\SceneExplorer.ini

Or if you go in the options you can uncheck store settings in .ini

That is very strange, Ive never seen that before. There are a couple options you could try. In the display toolbar you have 3 options. The first one is make dockable. Then you can right click on Scene explorer and dock it into the max interface. The second option is to embed it into one of the viewports and the third option is to keep Scene Manager on top of all windows.

Try those and let us know.

IT is essentially the same but not exactly. You would get very similar if not exact same results Smiling

Hi,

You should download Ephere and then take it's plugin file named something like "SceneManager.dlu" And then save it i the 3DS Max standard plugin folder, usually in a file location similar to this one:

C:\Autodesk\3ds Max 2010 32-bit\stdplugs

or

C:\Autodesk\3ds Max 2010 64-bit\stdplugs

Then when you load up max again there should be a new drop down menu on the top bar called "EPHERE Utilities" From its drop down select "Open Scene Manager" and hey presto you have it there and working! Eye-wink

@KSC, The 2010 version is listed for the 2011 edition of Max, so maybe that will work?
