Hi all, is it at all possible to get these brushes for a lower version of photoshop? I've tried to run CS3, but it's extremely laggy on my vista, my older version of photoshop works fine, I can't seem to figure out how to speed CS3 up, I tried using aero and a default printer that's just my home printer, but it doesn't seem to be working, I am also using a wacom bamboo, could that be a problem?

Hey dcp_wang,

What are you system spec's and what is the size of the image you are using?
Could you post a screenie of your performance information and tools screen please?
To get paste "Control Panel\Performance Information and Tools" into the address bar of any folder or go through the welcome centre.
For a quick fix that might help you could try disabling Aero.

Hope that helps Smiling

I'm using a Dell Precicion 690 desktop with 2.33 ghz processor and 4 gb of ram on 32 bit vista business, photoshop 7 was working fine, but cs3 was just slow for some reason, i open a new document with nothing on it and just try to draw simple lines with a brush and there is a lag delay already, my performance has a base score of 5.2

processor 5.2
memory (ram) 5.2
graphics 5.9
gaming graphics 5.8
primary hard disk 5.9

Hey dcp_wang,

Did you try disabling Aero? I had a look about and its seems that people with the same issue as yourself tried it successfully.

Also are all the drivers for your GPU, Wacom and keyboard/mouse up to date?
This has helped some people with lag too.

Hope that helps Smiling

Vista sometimes does this with CS3. It did it to me also, however, I don't remember how I fixed it. I think I went to SP1.

I'm duel booting now, if that's possible you should try it.

Hi, thanks guys, I think it could be something to do with using my graphics card too, I saw that CS4 uses the graphics card better so it was running faster
