Hi everyone, this my first post here, I've been working with 3d about a year now, and i'm currently working on a project wich involves a scanning robot, moddelling is done, working on texture atm. It's supposed to look a bit old and rusty, so it doesn't have any reflections (It will be used in a little live action movie and reflections could give some problems). Thanks for watching, constructive criticism is much appreciated Eye-wink

In photoshop at either a black stroke or black outer glow to make the paint pop out of the rust and stand out more. Love the detail wayyy better than my stuff a year

Use a cool render plug in too like vray or xioul or however u spell it lol

ok, don't forget to texture the wires, don't leave them black, also try to get some variation in your metal texture, for example use the sharpen filter and don't forget to give your textures an ambient occlusion, keep it up and good luck
