Hey guys, I've been working on this personal project for about an hour or two after work for the past two weeks. Putting in more hours during the weekend also. I also plan on making a game res version as well.

Hope you guys like, C&C also appreciated!

Wowzers! This is cool! Laughing out loud
I really like the extra mag attachment.

The only thing that stands out as odd is:
1. The handle
2. Scope attachment

Can you post up a few images of the reference you used?

Ah ok, I knew something felt off. The model seems too "bubbly". A lot of parts are not sharp enough and therefore make it feel extremely fake.
Try fixing these areas I have marked in the image and I think the model will increase exponentially in realism Laughing out loud

I am terrible at modeling weapons and haven't ever really dedicated enough time to make something awesome, but maybe one of my models will better express my concern for making sure it isn't too bubbly.

Hope this helped!

Noted, i'll upload images later with the updates to the areas you pointed out man. Initially I ended up making a lot of the edges more fatter to hold up once I bake it down for the normal map, however the areas you pointed out are a bit too soft. Thanks for the feedback also!

Idk the weapon you linked is looking pretty awesome. You should give a try at texturing it. Already have a really solid HP.

I might actually do another pass on the edge thickness. Feels like i've been working on it so much I haven't notice, till you pointed it out, haha.

Cool stuff!! Can't wait to see an update!
I think once those small changes are made, this is really going to be an outstanding model ^_^

Sorry for the late reply, been busy a lot recently. So I just took some screen caps straight from 3ds Max, eventually ill get around to re-rendering the HP again. Plan to start the LP tomorrow, then do some normals map test bakes and see how well the model holds up. Thanks for the kind words as well Smiling

I still feel the handle could use a bit more love, but I really like the update!
