Hello all of you on Eat 3D, I am new here, this is my model of the M16 rifle with M203 grenade launcher that I really need feedback and advice for. Now I am out, checking the forum and watching your awesome work. Thanks in advance for all help I can get with this one and see you around.

Nice! If it was for me, I'll weathered it a little bit more and try to do it a little bit lighter. It is for an FPS?

Should be interesting to see it from back, too...

Anyway, it's nice and well done!

Thanks,  yes I aimed for an FPS standard and also maybe as a turnable item in a menu or so. I have been really causion with the use of scratches and grudge, not to overdo anything and keep it realistic as possible but a more weathered look would be nice. This image bellow show the first changes ive made today since the model got in this near complete stage, forgotted that if I would use an FPS view the rear sight would  had looked rather low poly and bulcky. Made a few tweaks. Ive add some details for the grip and buttplate in the normal map and fixed some geometry that wouldnt keep up the quality with the rest. Also lightend up the color map just a tiny bit.

This is what i meant with weathering -> http://www.cmdr-fire.co.uk/images/airsofting/m16a4-type.jpg .Nothing too fancy, but it looks like it has been used heavily!

Thanks, for a great airsoft ref. there. :)
I tried to make the look a little more urban- weathered today and this is how it turned out to be.

thanks

i will try this on udk

The front sling swivel for the M203 is in the same place but facing the side of the weapon on the left. Also the sling swivel needs to be a bit smaller. For the M16 it is in the right place but 203 is moved to the side. This is so it doesn't interfere with the m203 when loading and unloading the round.

Thanks, some of my image reference of replicas was misleading, I will look into that as soon I feeling a little better from my recently caught cold. Smiling
