Seen a bit of american hotrod and have had a need to design a hotrod based on a Ford 32 for a while...so while Cain gets detailed and rendered...

So - Quick form blockout - boom!

Lols - Course not Andy! Pullin triangles like Alan Partridge on toblarone!

So added some cuts and refined the wheel arch shape. (The mesh is broken for smoothiing atm so thats why it looks a bit mental round the door).

In goes a bit of a chassis. Got to fix the door and its definiately not going to smooth properly until the end (after the loops n ting). I was watching american hotrod last night, and who would have thunk it but they built a ford 32 hotrod. Bit tame for what I have planned for this though Smiling http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYJWOT5Hu5E

Onyl had 20 mins for lunch today so blocked out the wheels - sans treads. FYI - white walled with red trims!

Now with tyres.... Gone for the proper old school white walls with 5 stripes. Absoloutly lethal for racing - totally outdated - usually recuts if you get them these days...... and absoloutly georgeous!

So I have been fooling you in all the previous renders! That catchy interior for the body was nothing more than a shell modifier for render purposes! I just can't do it any more so here is a refined body - now with an interior modelled in. Just for you.....yes you!

Dude, this looks fantastic Laughing out loud

The only thing I noticed is that the drive belt looks kinked at the point where it leaves the drive shaft. It's only a small thing though Smiling

Awesome work, man!

Hey man - Thanks - Appreciate that Smiling Yeah - the drive belt - I was kind of trying to imply the stretch from the cog - but duly noted - If it is sticking out I might play around with softening it or remioving it all together  - Nice one - thanks Smiling

Awesome bro!

I don't know what's it gonna end like, but the model itself is pretty awesome mate!

You really did that motor but... will the driver ever be able to see where he is going with the actual size of the motor? Sticking out tongue

User offline. Last seen 4 weeks 4 days ago.

Where we are going.....we don't need to be able to see where we are going!   Na...cheers mate:p.  in all seriousness I spend all day every day modelling photorealistic stuffclosely adhering to real world reference and the like.  You should once in a while just go mental.... Characterise something, invent something, redesign something or blow something up. The games industry is awesome byou quite often you have little direct design influence over what you are working on.... Liberate yourself people. Do something crazy at lunchtime!

Hahahaha, I got your point bro! I even felt a little ashamed before asking about that, actually xD
I just didn't get atm what was your real goal about this lunchtime project, now it's pretty clear... but, if you don't mind:

1) How will it look like if you extend those side exhausts (those that are twisted aside the doors) along and below the doors, passing above the back wheels and turning them into plus-3 exhausts (for you to get the main idea http://www.aspecperformance.com/images/hks%20legamax.jpg) - like welded exhausts that turns into 3 only in the end.

2) What would happen to this model if you mix this current design with a little bit reference of steampunk? Like, adding some steampunk design to it, but taking off the rusty part, just having that cleaned up new-car-alike?

I don't know... just "something crazy at lunchtime" xD I know that when somethings are done, we just don't feel like renewing them so soon... but in my humble opinion, it's nice to just try new things than those which comes through your mind (: But I wouldn't be bothered if you just don't like them.
