Hey everyone!

It has been quite a while since I have posted any side projects or work for that matter. I have been extremely busy but decided to try and cram in a personal project!
This topic is one that I am not that comfortable with so I hope it turns out decent. "I need a weapon".... One that can fight off a zombie attack!

This is only the Proxy Model. I will make more changes and start on the High Poly soon.

Does anyone no good websites for stripped parts or people who have disassembled weapons?

hey jeremy nice work

for disassembled weapons i used to add "parts" at the end of weapon's name in google image search like m4 parts or p90 parts some of them are pretty good images and u can probably use airsoft weapons mechansim, they are easier to find they and not much different, this is a good website for airsoft parts

This will not be 100% accurate as KSG is harder to find field strip and parts info and accurate ref. I have about 20-30 images I will try to use and eyeball everything together.

Thanks guys. Sorry for the small updates. I only am working on this a few minutes a night due to being tired. Hopefully I can work on it for a couple of hours this weekend.

I am just going pictures off of on google. There really wasn't any good high res ref for this gun. Only a few that I found helpful.

are you using a shellac material with raytrace sub-materials for your renders?

Nope, just a standard material with a mental ray light (Sphere Radius set to 100).

Looks great, mate. I really don't have any crits. tbh., other than maybe make the text a little broader from the normal map.

Is this all contiguous geo, or are you using floaters too?

Thanks man Smiling There is no floating Geo. Everything is modeled in. 

(Ps. I will look into replacing the text with a beveled version when I am done)

i love this thing man, such a clean model!  I really enjoy the silhouette on it's own as well.  You picked a good weapon system to go for.

Began to add a saddle. After the saddle is done, I am going to add a laser and do a few additional touches. (Then I think I will call this guy done in terms of the HP) Smiling
