this is my first maya project, now went into ZBrush for high detail, please let me know what u think if it good or bad ?
all comments and critiques are very very welcome, i wont improve if i dont know what i did wrong !!!!

just a quick update, worked on the fleece pieces, did some quick painting, not the final though !!

got to work on the outfit, and did change the color.
now the scars and those thigh bandages left.

oh and the UVs for the body are in 3 tiles, although i never dealt with this type of layout, im gonna give it a go.
"stil dont know if zbrush would handle it ??!!

hey all
today, i have a real bad thing going on.
my ZBrush mesh got destroyed.
please let me know if anyone have any kind of solution for this problem.
i cant seem to turn on any layer recording, or switch to the morph target.
here is how it looks.
i saved it last nigh at the lowest subD.
does ZBrush has any autosave folder ?

thank god i had a recent saved file,
i only had to redo the neck and the ears, plus some color.

im back on maya
and im having kind of an issue now with the displament maps.
here is it. there is a banding on the neck area as u can see, and i dont think that the disp map is super necessary !!??

I remember there is a new feature on Zbrush R3 that let you know which number of displacement is proper to use for the Maya Setting to avoid such this problems it's available on Eat3D Zbrush R3 new feature Video Training.

sorry i wasnt able to update more often, but i god a great news, i have finished rigging the model and guess what, it got Checkmate Pro Certified !!!
go ahead and check it guys, and if anyone will ever use it somewhere i would certainly would love to c what they did with it.










You should post more screen shots and wires. Is it just the head or is there a body. Is this sculpted in the picture?
