HI everyone, this is a project I am working on. Is a dune buggy that would fit somewhere in the world of Mad Max. This is the modeling phase completed(except for the tires). Before I move to the next step I want to here feedback and suggestion. Thanks.

I am planning to use a combination of texture maps and material nodes from Maya.

I haven't update this in awhile but this is my progress so far. I am using mental ray and one thing that I am interested to learn is how to get that realistic glass material for the headlights. Right know I have a texture of headlights which don't look that great.. If anyone knows please le me know. Any feedback and suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Looking good. For the lights : the quick way is to take an mib material and use presets. Choose glass. Toget the bump - use beagle texture)(with adjustments to uv tile) and put to bump node. This should dk the trick. There are many ways...

hmmmm...your inspiring me to do my own! Most of the textures for this look tiled - you should be able to afford a unique map for something this size -

I feel something http://www.deadlysleds.com coming on!

it looks floating on the ground. you can try and make the plane for the ground, the one you have to recieve shadows, make a new render pass that had a heavy occlusion casting on the model, it should "land" it Smiling

I like what you got out of this at the stage. Keep in mind that running additional render passes will benefit you later compositing stages.

Great work.
