Unreal - Animation Workflow?
tanx i'll try this out!
Let me know if you do. I am leaning more towards Maya myself now.
actually, here in montreal, students are learning 3d via maya. so you probably should use it
Well, that really does not mean anything. That is just what the schools have chosen to use, and probably based on cost discount. I have heard of some schools using Blender. In school you are being thought the principles, and for that you don;t need a lot of high dollar tools. Actually I need to go back and re-evaluate the choices. Keeping in mind I already have two Houdini lic. Houdini is becoming a very powerful tool in game design for some large studios. I think I have seen some people having luck exporting Houdini files out to UDK.

I am considering the Motion Builder Tutorial, I have not decided if I want 3Ds Max or Maya yet. But I believe this video may shed some light on what you are looking for. At least read the info, perhaps someone else on the forum that has bought it can answer more specifically, but reading though the info, it does say it walks you through how to take everything through into UDK.
