Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content.upk
In the Unreal Development Kit - An Introduction and Application DVD on Chapter 7 there is a folder in the content browser called "Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content". To get this folder you follow the read me file in the "part 1/content/project_files". It tells you copy Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content.upk to "\UTGame\Content\Environments" and then copy DM-Eat3dLevel.udk to "\UTGame\Content\Maps".
I have done this but no folder called "Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content" showed up. Only after I created a folder called Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content in the "\UTGame\Content\Environments" location and then put the "Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content" in the folder did it show up, but with no meshed or materials.
I am stuck for now and can't go any further
I have to say these DVD's are what I been looking for. Step by Step from scratch to finished product. You guys made the best learning tutorial ever! Now I just have to buy more!
Thanks for the help on this.
Ok I will try that and let ya know.
Thanks for fast reply to
Ok when I do that and select the files Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content the right hand side doesn't show anything it says "Nothing To Show; check your filter". I have All types selected at the top.
I am using the UDK kit and not the Unread Game Engine, will that be a difference?
The video was made with UDK so it should be fine. What version of UDK are you using? You may need to use a newer version.
I have downloaded the latest version of it.
Just to clarify its the UDK 2010-08 version.
You have to fully load the package by right clicking Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content > Fully Load
Also its looks like the file path is incorrect as there is no UTGame folder by default. (this might have been changed in recent builds...im not sure)
The correct File Paths should be
Eat3DIntroToUDK_Content.upk: \UDKGame\Content\Environments
Thank you Metalliandy, worked like a charm!
Now to work on the project for a while and then take a break playing WoW, hehe.
Thank everyone form Eat3D!
Thanks Andy! I was downloading the lastest to test it but you beat me to it
No worries guys...glad to help
Yeah, this helped my problem too. I also noticed that some of the models in the tutorials aren't in the library. I just replaced them with my own stuff and ended up with a different looking map at the end...well, as of now anyway.
Just noticed that I'm two years too late to the party lol
Were you able to add all the stuff to the current updated udk? I'm having problems with trying to add a static mesh but it's shadowed out. It won't allow me and I want to follow this tutorial to the exact specifications.
@TakingDownJersey,
Did you fully load the packages?

You can really just put both files into \UTGame\Content and try opening the package first from the generic browser, then open the map second. See if that works.
