.fbx import issue

I'm having some issues with importing my lowpoly mesh in .fbx format from both Maya 2011 and Modo 501.

The issue is where when attempting to generate a map the error "low poly mesh has text coords, please export them" or something like that.

Thing is there is definitely UV coords as Maya even creates UVs by default when a mesh is created.

I have tried replicating this with .obj format, exact same model and no problems. I even tried exporting from Max 9 and managed to get the .fbx model into xNormal with UVs.

Im stumped at the moment.

Im inclined to think its an export issue from Maya or Modo with the .fbx format but I cant see any options to test this

 

Any suggestions?
