Base Texture to bake issues
I've been having problems using "Base texture to bake". It seems to work only for some of my high meshes, and not for others. I've done numerous testing throughout the day but have no idea was the problem is. The bake seems to understand where the alpha is, but not the color.
The high mesh has GUV tiles assigned, and the low mesh I'm applying it to is properly uv'ed within maya. I can get proper AO, normals, etc, but not the base texture to bake properly at all.
I really don't know what to point out as I am unsure of where the problem is stemming from. Any helpful suggestions?






Ok, I found the problem! Thanks to Joe, I found his comment in another thread and added it here. Feel free to close this thread mods!
I'm not sure if this is too late, but I had the same problem. It got sorted when I re-exported the high res with the colorize option unchecked, but with uv's. So your high rez needs to have uv's. The texture baked fine after that.
