Hey everyone, I am fairly new to Mudbox, I was just wondering if it were possible to paint textures directly on your model and export the UV diffuse map? In my opinion that would seem easier then texturing it in Photoshop.  Not to mention I could see my model being textured in real time. Is this method practical and is it used in the gaming industry?

I found this video to show what I meant and it answered some of my questions.  Id still like to know if this is the right way of doing things in a game asset pipeline.  If anyone has any input I would really appreciate it.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5wjt25h8wA

I use the mudbox painting method sometimes when I have difficulties with seams between parts. Whichever way you feel is easier and helps you work faster is the method you should use.
