Hei, a quick question.

I was wondering is it possible to make only parts of mesh trasparent in zbrush such as according to polypaint or polyframe?

Not that I know of. You would have to merge the desired polygroups that you want to do this too. Could definitely be useful to have a ghost toggle per subtool instead of just the view or hide icon.

How about BPR transparency, I only see it as a whole subtool being trasparent, im wondering if there should be a possibility to make only parts of it transparent according to masking or something.

Yes, you can achieve that quiet easily. Do the following (For ZBrush 4R2):

1. Use a material compatible with transparency, eg., Jelly Bean
2. Turn on "Transparent" in the Render properties under the Render Palette as well as the "BPR TRANSPARENT SHADING MODE" in the Display Properties under the Tools Palette.
3. Under the Render palette, go to the "BPR Tranparency" option... and set the 'ByColor' setting upto a value of 1 or something close... use the setting next to it, i.e., 'CFactor' to control its intensity....

This will help you render out transparency based on your polypaint. Hope it solved your query....
