Hey all, have just been checking out details on the new Low Res Character DVD, looks very interesting indeed. I only have one question I wanted to ask about the workflow... I find it a lot easier to pose the character in Zbrush instead of rigging it - is this an accepted method in the industry, or is it compulsory to rig your characters in order to pose them for presentation renders? I'm a bit confused about the process but hopefully after I pick up the DVD it will clear some things up for me Smiling

If all you wan to do is pose and render you can surely do a lot of it in zbrush but there are a lot of limitations. In the new DVD the goal is have a character in a state that could be animated and put in any game engine, not just posed. In Zbrush you cant animate a character in a scene like you would other 3d packages. Also you could never take a zbrush character and put it in a game engine like UDK.

Also a lot of people like to render in Maya or Max because there is a lot more control with lighting/materials/render settings.

I hope this helps!
