Okay, so this is just a quick start to block in the tank and get the basic tread and wheel system down. I'll probably get around to more of the body stuff next weekend. Cheers

Looking good! Are you making it up as you go or are you using a specific tank as reference? Kind of reminds me of a Panther with more wheels for the tracks Laughing out loud

Its a Panzer IV, I think I am going to go with the African campaign version... it will be a bit more fun because of the unique logos. Also its fairly simple so it should go fast Smiling Anyhow, here is one of the pics I am using for ref (I hope this is following the rules, I didn't see anything about making your own concept).

Ahh, haven't seen this version before, but looks awesome! It might be easy but you've got a lot of things to add to it though Smiling good luck

Great modeling! Only thing that looks odd to me is the tread wave at the top. It seems like there is too much slack. Perhaps tightening it up so it doesn't droop so much would help?

yep, the ref there has the tread pretty tight, good call man. I'll fix it tonight.

They are some nice tracks man! I haven't modeled any before so I am a bit nervous to do mine! What is this rendered in it looks really nice!

Oh no worries man I sure you'll do just fine with them Eye-wink and for the render, its just a max scene with a three light set up plus sky light. Anyhow, I made tweaks to the tread... just thought I would throw it up.

Just a quick reminder about the process for your final submission Smiling

Please ensure that your final submission has everything that is required for entry, edited into your first post (beauty shot's and turntables etc.)

  • You must provide an unsmoothed wireframe beauty shot of the finished model, from multiple angles.
  • You must submit at least 1 final beauty shot that is at least 1280x720.
  • You must submit at least 1 turnaround movie of the vehicle created in any application of your choice.
  • Post your final image on the first post in your thread using our "File Attachments" system.
  • Upload your video turnaround to a popular video sharing site (Youtube, Vimeo, etc) and post the link/embed in the first post of your thread in the " Video Link" field.

Also please make sure that you edit the title of your thread to have - Final at the end.

e.g. High Poly Vehicle - metalliandy - Final

Thanks and good luck! Smiling
