Old & Damaged - Jeremy
And the fun begins
Good luck to everyone! This will be a historic day! The very first Eat3d Challange!
-Jeremy-
AHAHA
Well, I actually am working on another project right now with AI. So I can't devote a ton of time to this :/ But I will do the best I can with the time I have
(or however Gandolf says it)
-Jeremy-
Well I vote you spend most of your time doing the other project, then I may have a chance of placing in this competition :D
TBH Jeremy, i had expected you to be done by now :P
yeah, what's going on. I expected a video up from you of how to do mine by now, how am I ever going to finish it!
Sorry you guys
I haven't been on much. I got hired onto a development team and we are in the process of making a game. I will try to squeeze something in but I am not sure. I am pulling 7-11 hour works shifts :/ So not too much time to breathe.
-Jeremy-
Congrats mate
Dont worry if you cant do the comp...real life comes first!

I refer to my previous post.
(Congrats on the job btw, what studio?)
Wait until the 20+ hour days Jeremy.
Yeah, it doesnt get any easier lol!!
Man...i've put in some 48 hr days...heh
Congrats
Ok, so I was trying to think of something that would be original, but at the same time, would be a good brain workout for myself. So to do that I decided to pick something that would be technical in max, and in zbrush.
I chose to do an Old & Damaged Piano. Below is a Low Poly Proxy Model. In no way does this simulate the final result except for the fact that the items might be placed relatively like the model seen below. I haven't had much time to work out the kinks and kinda threw this together real quick.
I still am working on some drawings and mood boards in off time.
-Jeremy-
Love the style! Can't wait to see where this goes.
Yeah I am kinda at a stand still. My brain kinda farted and I know its time to stop for the day. (might do a few minutes tonight). Any-who, thanks for the comment bud. I am kinda wondering where this will go too lol.
-Jeremy-
Haha, I totally understand. The brain needs a night to recover after a big fart, hehe. It will come to you tomorrow!
dude looking baddass!
Cant wait for updates
O my god! its totally nuts dude!
awesome, can we have a wire frame? love it, reminds me of bioshock for somereason
stunning work man, can't wait to see how this turns out!
wow nice detailing, waiting for more
Cool choice and a great start on the model. Like that you left the front panel off the top to show all the interesting details inside. Definitely looking forward to more updates.
Congrats on the job man!
The model is looking ace!
You lulled us into a false sense of security there.
I like the idea a lot. Would never have come up with an old piano. I'm interested in seeing how you'll damage it. All the little details are great. Though I feel like it could use a space for sheet music. Just a little ledge with a back to hold them at a readable level.
This is kindof what I have in mind. http://www.pearsonpianos.com/images/upright-piano.jpg
Just a suggestion. It's looking great, keep it up.
Cool. Nice details
very clean model and nice details...........keep it up
So ye, I wonder how long its gonna be before he posts his work and goes
"Like you had a chance..."
Lmao kaneth
Unfortunately I had to step out of the comp right after I posted that piano image of the proxy model. My job at Lucid Games is taking up all my time and I also have a side job. Trust me when I say this though.... I almost cried when I found out I wouldn't have any real spare time for this comp
......... Broke my heart deep down.
-Jeremy-
Bad times man, Im sure you will finish the piano at some point though, then you NEED to post it!!!

I vote Jeremy isn't allowed to compete
Lookin forward to your entry man, I'm sure it will be top notch!
