ok, I ve reshaped the cowl and tried to add details EXACTLY like it appears in the film (each staple put in it s correct place!) I also like to add a little more to my stuff (with the penguin it was the added wrinkle detail) and so I ve added some stretched fabric where the material is stappled together

Thanks Guys!!

Ok, here is another update - I ve added eyelashes to the eyes (made some flat eyelash planes and then drew on the individual eyelashes with mask - hid and then deleted the unmasked areas)

Here I ve started the base - the idea was a kind of luxery cat bed - made of a purple velvet material with a nice wooden base

justworking on the final render here

and to really get her dual sides to her personality (sweet and kinda crazy) I ve tried to make it look like she has scratched in her name into the fabric - leaving a claw behind! The white stuff is supposed to be stuffing spilling out

here are some final renders:

Oh yeah Sean, I like how this one came out!

Love the satin puff base and in my opinion this sculpt is by far a stronger piece than the penguin!( don't get me wrong, both are great and realistic, but I guess the sexiness won me over!)

Is Batman next on the list^

Cheers

There is reason to suspect kit bashing due to the very similar model created in the past.

The model is different but there are many things that are close. Did you start this from scratch or reuse the old model? Would you be willing to submit to us your ztl file so we can check the creation date embedded in the file?

I just want to keep it fair for everyone, I mean no offense to anyone.

Hi Riki,

Sorry for the delay in replying to this - I just came back from holiday yesterday and found that my house was burgled Sad For anybody who has had this happen to them you will know how I feel :S

ANYWAY, back to the catwoman!

Pfeiffer's Catwoman is something I ve been trying to do justice for a looong time! (she is my most favourite of film characters) Back when I was sculpting in clay a few years ago I sculpted a 1/6 scale catwoman bust.

Move ahead another year and I wanted to try and do her again, digitally, this was the first time - and even though I was really happy about it at the time (first time on zbrush) it looks pretty terrible now!! The stitches are just created using the 'stitch' brush, the colors are all off - and don't even get me started about that grimice - lol!

So bring another year around and this comp comes up, first off, if you didn't already know - I am a big fan of Burton's Batman, so I decided to do the Penguin - and in the background I started off a new catwoman - with a new mesh (although thats not to say that I didn't refer to my old version as a rough ref point) but she was a new piece.

Now I do have previous experience with 'trying' to sculpt her, so perhaps that has given me an unfair advantage for this character? I don't want to break any rules so if you have a problem (or if anybody else has any other complaints) I will take her out of the comp.

In the meantime I will find a place where I can upload her and send you a pm for the link so that you can check her out Smiling

Thanks for the reply Sean.

Im sorry you have been burgled Sad

Its not a problem that you have sculpted the same thing on different occasions ...we just have to ensure that everyone follows the rules Smiling

From your response, Im happy that you have not kitbashed this asset so there is no need to upload it anymore (unless you still want to, of course).

Thanks for being so understanding!

Nice end result, I only model old men WOAH!  Love the clay sculpt too! I fear I'd be looking for an undo button if I tried traditional sculpting Smiling

Thanks mate!

I ve always found sculpting (young) woman difficult mainly because the facial anatomy is more subtle , also doing a female likeness is the ultimate test (for me) thats why I love doing them!

Part of the reason I went into digital sculpting was because I was always too heavy handed with physical clay - I mean I love the stuff but I just kept on dropping it! ha ha - That clay catwoman took me forever mainly because I kept on dropping her!! ha ha
