Hello,

I started a small 3d sketch from a box 30mins so far.

I was under the impression that the sculpt was to be from a box and retopo was allowed. Are we allowed to use base meshes?

Thanks guys I was doing another little sketch with a generic Base Mesh that I had around. I'm liking this a bit more. What do you all think?

Thanks guys, It seems a little more flushed out because I used a generic base with some form, you can downloaded it here.

The amount of time spent of both was the same that is way i ask^^

Here is my progress I need to retopo to open the mouth.

Really good creature man!

Love his eyes some live in there!!

The expression is good to, perhaps turn a little the head in right or left side to give him more life again.

Really nice job man!

@Maikeelassi Thanks! Can you explain why you liked the previous version more? Maybe I can make some adjustments.

@Kenshiro Thanks, I'm plans for a slight turn in the end, right I don't want to break the Symmetry in Zbrush so it seems kinda stiff.

Hey Arkadius!

I just thought that the previous one looked more polished and you had more forms to add details. I also liked the cheeks bones, lips and the face area that I think were lost in the second version. Your character felt strong, wolf like and sympathetic were as the new one is a lot more aggressive and piranha like. But hey all in all both are strong sculpts and I'm really interested and can't wait to see how this will turn out!

Cheers

I think I know what maik' is saying their seems to be alot of muzzel loss as it were Sticking out tongue

But I kinda preffer the open Ima bout to rip you apart mouth. speaking of wich .. howed you get to make teath like that! I sooo suck at making teath in zbrush! Sad

@maikeelassi I know what you mean. at one point I tried combing both the sculpts together. Where the mouth was open in the second sculpt the closed mouth from the first sculpt was peeking threw it seemed like a mouth within a mouth. It didn't come out looking that good, in fact i think it made the sculpt weaker. Hmmm.. I try to think of something.

@nerf3601 Thanks man. It is very easy to make the teeth. you start off with a box in zbrush and symmetry on and you use the move tool to give it form the Symmetry will keep it from going wonky. Then you sharpen the teeth with the pinch brush and hint of smooth. Once you have one tooth you just append to your main tool and start copying teeth placing them where you want.

Heres an obj of a pair of teeth. Maybe it can be a starting point for you Smilinghttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/4618134/Teeth.OBJ

Edit: Forgot another update here.. Doh..
