Throwing an idea around on some sketches...

I was throwing and idea in my head the other day. Transformers? I’ve been playing the Transformers game for a bit and I watching the movies far too much. So I was thinking of an old story line long ago during the time the TV series was coming to an end…Yes I was around during the Transformer TV series. They were moving to a version that humans were becoming more involved with the survival of the robots. I think it was when the humans were part of the heads of the Robot. Which you know, they ran with it… Not really sure I liked that version?
I was thinking of the story were the Transformers were really young. What would they have looked like during there infancy? If they ever transformed when they were just robots how fare was the advanced technology? Was Cybertron ever at its part a real planet like Earth? Were they always humanoids or were they always-advanced robots life forms. So, I was thinking at one time or another they were just bots not transformers from cars as such. What would they have looked like? So, if you think they could have had Armor one time or another as such the vehicle would just have molded to the Bots metal body. It was just an Idea. Maybe I’m playing the game too much and watching movies. It’s just my imagination running wild again. Here is what I got to sow for a day.
Thanks for the interest. I will look into this a little further. I've already worked out the sketch of the Car armor of the Bot and started working out the transforming sequence. I'm not sure with the Idea of transforming as of yet? Because of millions of years in the past. But hay this is Transformers! I have also been thinking of the Decepticons. Where this will go... I don't know. Maybe some back ground shots of a Cybertron. Stay toned... Will continue the sketches, then will work out color scheme. Then onto 3d environment. Plus I will get some good feedback from the peanut gallery :P I hope...
Um I find your story to not make sense, because the transformers have a history, you can read it on Wikipedia. Even thought the story doesn't match the series at all, I would still want to see your progress on this. It seems like a very interesting scenario.
Heres some transformers history:
Primus is the benevolent godlike entity in the fictional Transformers comic universe who fought against the Chaos-Bringer Unicron. The Lord of the Light and Order, Primus is the being who created the Transformers to help him defeat Unicron.
[Rough translation of creation]
"The transformers were made by a race of people (Forget the name) that made the Autobots and Decepticons for two seperate things.
Autobots were made as a useless robot, that were like bags and.. Item's that weren't very useful, just helpful to people in the society (At first they could not Transform)
The Decepitcons were made as war machines, to kill everything pretty much.. They couldn't transform at first either.
Then The Autobot's rebelled because they were useless, and the Decepticons rebelled because they didn't want to be ruled by anyone.. So the two fought each other in this epic war.
Soon the Autobots figured out how to "transform" so they could do sneak attacks on the Decepticons and then get away stealthfully.
Although, the Decepticons got ahold of this Tech, and then could transform themselves.
So, they had war and war until the all spark was released from the planet, and then the planet was destroyed... Megatron went after the cube.. And pretty much it takes place up where the movie started, although the way they got to the planet was changed from the original Transformers.."
That should help clear some of your thoughts. Unless I am confused as to what you are making, then ignore me 
I was not looking into the real story line. I was just throwing it off of my younger memories. Most of it was just random thought that was racing in my head at the time. Sorry for being so confusing for you. I will check my grammar more closely next time.

A new update for the Decepticons. 
interesting. Transformers were never "young" as in; parts, size etc. But it would be interesting to see an idea like this come to life.
