Hi,
This is my first presentation in Eat3D.
The model is inspired by Orc from the World of Warcraft.
Hope you all like it.
Thanks for Watching  Smiling

It took around 3 weeks to start the model from scratch, I arrange time to work on my personal stuffs after doing my office Smiling

I know this is gonna sound like im hating...1st+only real thing that sticks out to me is...how are those legs supposed to support all that weight ^^, just a matter of proportions...maybe im super wrong, I just think the legs could be a tad taller. Hating since birth ^^, I suspect he is on the NHS waiting list for a kneecap replacement ^^,

Yes I guess ur right, but the thing is I was following the concept of orc, but never tried to replicate it on the whole, beside this i have never before put my hands on concept art and hence its my first approach. I will sure take some VALUABLE SUGGESTIONS from u, before starting my next model. I hope u have a blog or website around net, if not then u must create one, bcaz i dont want my next characters to go and wait  on NHS Smiling

The legs may be small but it really does feel like the weight is on them with the detail you put in the muscles and the way his knees are bent. At least I can feel the weight. I love the accessories too! Nice work! Smiling

@swamipibboy - its done in after effects, i have used the masking tool in order to get that effect.

cool beans , so you render two films ? one in wire frame and one in full render then over lay one over the other and use after fx alpha/mask ? did you figure this out your self or did you use a tut? sorry to deviate from your work but i am just getting to the point of sorting some trial runs of my showreel and that seems like a really sweet FX .

awsome showreel by the way, has inspired me no end Smiling were do you find concept art to work your models from ? sorry to keep going off topic but this is one of the only forums i have found that constantly inspires me

many thanks

hey swampibboy,

thx for the time to write me and adding such complimentary words.

yes u got it right, i used the wire frame render and then overlayed it in AF, the idea was mine, but got some basic help from my mentor.

for the concepts of my character i use to take several references, and then try to sketch some unique ones, and finally i have to choose one from them Smiling

I think its a bit silly to be critical by saying how will the lower legs support the weight of the character. Do the laws of logic and physics apply to such fictional characters? Once it animates ok it will be fine. Excellent modeling!

Thx Alkow, nope its all done, not gonna texture it Smiling

Amazing work, love the scenery in your reel. Just one thing at the end of your reel it says "every Success needs a Sacrifies" thought i'd point out the typo, did the same thing in my reel and took a 2nd pair of eyes to catch it after staring at it so long.

Hello Everyone,
I have been working on a concept of Carlos Haunte.
Which is this month's theme of CGHUB Character Forge 3D Challenge.
I hope you'll like it.
