the mesh is only about 6500 all together around 22 000
heres a screen grab

Excellent model, but the whiskers and black hairs around the face look photoshopped on top of the model.

(If it is gonna be an ingame model, you might want to optimize it a bit more as well.)

Ya I don't know if I want to make it a game model but if I did I've make some of the hair into a geometry and xnormal'd it into a normal map it shows up pretty good actually
Yeah I think it looks a really nice model actually. But the bent front leg looks like it has got the wrong weighting on the bone (if you are using a skeleton that is)
Where his front leg starts , just below his "shoulder" it looks pinched in
