Gonna call this piece finished. I am going to put this in my portfolio so if you see anything that does not read as a certain material please do not hesitate to point it out. I really wanted to try and nail the material definition on this piece. Hope yall like it!! Smiling

Programs used: 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Xnormal, Marmoset 2.

Great work! Promoted!

The only thing that stood slightly out of place, was in the very bottom image - the top middle shot - the upper right hand small reflective material in the small circle cuttout seems to be a very different value of glossiness than the left one. Not sure if that is how it is suppose to be or not though*

Thanks!! I think that is because of the DOF effect from Marmoset. I have noticed that before while playing around in the program.

Cool little box.

I hate the DOF. I felt like I could only see half of the prop at once, so my eyes are constantly searching for a clear spot to look, and with your extreme field of view it only made matters worse in driving me crazy.  No need for DOF on a 1 ft box, and IMO I wouldn't go over 60 degrees (I'd stay at 45), unless you make an interior room and you need a larger viewing angle.

Thank you for the feedback Jet Pilot. I'll make some renders tonight without the DOF and FOV and repost the images. Maybe I should change it on my site to if it is hindering my work more than helping.

I can see Jet Pilot's point. Perhaps if the box was sitting on a large table, and in the distance, the DOF blurred out the back of the large table, it wouldn't be so powerful and more logical. Can't wait to see the new renders Smiling

I removed the DOF effect and changed the FOV angle to 45. I see what you mean, the image is a lot easier to look at. I guess I got carried away with the post process effects. Smiling What do you all think?
