Normally I make 3d models in 3DS Max and then refine and sculpt in Zbrush. This time I made it all in zbrush. Don't ask me what it is cause I have no Idea. All I know is it is alien
Dude...YOU ARE A MACHINE!
Just a side note, but i noticed that you saved the image as a .png.
Photoshops "Save for Web and Devices" is amazing mate and does a really great job at saving .jpgs with very few compression artefacts. I use a setting of 60 for all my images...you should check it out
Also, i recognise the music...isnt it the same song that Vadim Bakhlychev used for his Dom War4 Recon Elite character?
Whats it called?
www.metalliandy.com | Twitter | Knald Open Beta | 110 Free Custom Bolt Alphas | Barbed Wire Baseball Bat
I will check that out for sure. (So those compression settings are for the .jpeg format?)
Yes sir that is the same music. The moment I heard it I went crazy trying to find it. Its called Global Communication.
Here are a few links to some of these amazing songs. (I personally grabbed them all ) The ones below are some of my favorites
very cool !
@ Mistry10 - Thanks, glad you liked it
@ Andy - I saved it using the different compression settings and it said I couldn't upload it. This is the error message I got:
"Validation error, please try again. The file you attempted to upload may be too large. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator."
Yea that sometimes happens...im not sure why.
After the error, preview the post and then re-upload...it should work then.
Here it is with these settings: .Jpeg - Quality = High - (60) just like you said
(I swapped the .png with the .jpg)
Awesome! Thanks bud!
Nice work, do you plan on adding more pieces to the alien machine?

@ Thewiruz - Thanks bud. I am glad you enjoyed it. The matcap is a custom one that I made. I will show you how to make it in just a bit. (I will post a short tutorial).
@ Speirso - I am happy to hear you are learning a lot from the dvd. But I am not the instructor of that dvd lol.

(Also: if you want to post work for critiquing and showcase, try to dedicate your own thread in the Gallery Section. No biggy though)
The file formats accepted here on eat3d.com are displayed below the uploading option.
Only files with the following extensions may be uploaded: jpg jpeg gif png txt doc xls pdf avi mov rm flv wmv mp4 swf avimov html ppt pps mpeg mpg 3gp dir dcr ogg.
what material is it you use on the model?
also the music - global communications - good choice, ive been a major technohead for twenty years now, not so much into the banging style anymore,
have you ever heard of boards of canada?
For large files such as .ZTL or.OBJ you may wish to consider a remote hosting solution such as DropBox. I have been using it for a while now and i have to say its fantastic
The free option allows you store 2GB of stuff and if you need more space you can invite friends and get 250mb more space with each friend you invite. (up to 3GB)
To host the files in DropBox just place them in the Public folder and then Right Click> DropBox> Copy public link and post that where ever you like.
Hope that helps
Ok I know this isn't much but I hope it helps. Maybe in the future I will do an extensive tutorial/s
Again great stuff
Very very inspiring work there. Great work.
