Its good if you have no experience with 3ds Max and want to get the very basics down for stuff like that. But if you are really interested in modeling the high and low res specifically I would highly recommend The Fountain 1 and 2 because that is their focus. http://eat3d.com/training_videos/bundles/fountain

Yea i have to agree with Riki.

Max101 is an amazing overview of everything to do with Max but its scope is a little broad to focus entirely on any specific subject for a great deal of time.

If you want to learn modelling get the Fountain 1 and 2 because they go through the whole process with great detail and also include sculpting for Mudbox and ZBrush.

Hope that helps Smiling

Thank you very much for the replies and thank you for giving me an idea about the contence of the tutorials. Why i'm curious is because i'm starting university in a couple of weeks and i've got books about modeling but some of the tutorials in the books i dont understand and so i've being looking for some video tutorials on how to do stuff. With modeling characters do you think i could grasp enough detail on creating high and low polygron objects through the fountain 1 and 2 tutorials or would you recommend the character rigging tutorials?? And thank you for all the help that i've recieved from the forum, keep up the great work.
