The release adds some really big changes including new mesh modelling tools, a new 3d printing addon, improvements to the 3d painting system and the ability to render SSS in cycles.

Our good friends over at 3dTotal have been hard at work developing a beautiful anatomical reference figure, sculpted by Federico Scarbini, which is now accepting pledges over at Kickstarter
In this demonstration, Richard Piper shows how to get a quick & effective sculpt from a photo in Mudbox, xNormal and nDo2 with the final presentation being shown in Marmoset toolbag.
The tool and its results looks pretty spectacular, though we have no concrete word on what it actually does yet. Something about 100% automated texture magic and wizards...
Cant wait to see more!

Mattias Van Camp has released Flow Map Painter 0.3 for Max 2012 64bit!
The awesome script allows you to paint the direction of flow for a liquid surface and then use the resulting texture in a game engine to super realistic results
The decimation tool and suite of plugins will include such features as Vodel grid based polygon reduction, Intelligent hole filling, Vertex level Ambient Occlusion and Normal map baking and Customisable interface configurations!
