The update includes numerous additions including support for iOS 6, Retina display and all of Apple’s newly available iOS devices, Unreal Landscape’s new mobile material system and UE3’s new mobile shader analyzer Laughing out loud

In this final part of this three part demonstration, Matthew Tardiff continues his the Maya to UDK pipeline overview.

Laurens Corijn has been hard at work writing a FBX Exporter script that keeps track of "ExportSets" for UDK and has made it available on Scriptspot!

Approximated Sub Surface Scattering Demo - UDK

Ryan James Smith has posted an awesome approximated SSS demo in UDK!

In the demo, Ryan uses a technique that was originally developed by DICE for Frostbite 2, which uses a modified AO map that is baked after inverting the normals of the high poly mesh and then inverting the results of the bake. This texture is then used as a volume map to approximate the Sub Surface Scattering.
