In this DVD, Instructor Riki Babington guides you through many of the powerful features in Autodesk Mudbox. Riki starts off with the UI and then goes into importing and exporting your meshes. From there he gets into the sculpt brushes and then into the extensive painting features. Further topics include using pose tools, curves, cameras and lights, viewport filters, map extraction, sculpting with maps, and rendering. As a bonus he then goes into the new features recently released in the Subscription Advantage Pack including the Gigatexel Engine, smoothing groups, creating and combining normal maps from bump maps, using the tiling plane, and much more. Finally, Riki demonstrates how to create a portfolio quality sculpt of an old wall. He begins inside 3ds Max and goes all the way through completion.

About the Instructor:
Riki Babington has worked in the video game industry for over 7 years and has worked on such video games as "DC Universe Online", "Blacksite: Area51", "John Woo's Stranglehold", "Axis and Allies", and "Kohan II: Kings of War". In 2010 Riki recieved the prestigious Autodesk Masters award for 3ds Max. Riki graduated in 2002 from the Art Institute of Houston with an Associates degree in Computer Animation and is currently the Founder and CEO of Eat 3D, LLC.

So the instructor in this Tutorial acts as if Softimage almost didn'e exist. Max, maya, max, maya... Amazing!

Just what I've been waiting for! I'll be ordering mine today for sure. 3dmax user here so I'm always glad to see tutorials and workflows for max.

Mayalicious, the workflow is exactly the same. Surely you know how to model a basic basemesh in Maya and export it to MudBox, which is what this tutorial is about?

hah, well we have tons of Maya DVDs but I personally only know 3ds Max. I cant imagine a Maya user missing out on anything in this DVD though, its exactly the same in Maya.
